On Monday, 27 November 2017, between 7:30 and 09:45am (GMT), some Luno customers experienced downgraded performance.
Our platform was slowed down due to a sudden surge in traffic and an unexpectedly high volume of digital currency trading, which temporarily increased the load on our system.
Some customers may have experienced:
-Cloudflare errors & inability to sign in
-Trades updating slowly on the Luno Exchange
-Recent trades and the order book trailing by a few minutes
-Inability to place buy and sell orders using the Luno wallet
No existing, open trades were affected and they executed as expected.
We’ve made upgrades to the platform, which resolved these performance issues. We sincerely apologise for the situation. We’re doing our best to prevent similar incidents from happening during these volatile times.
